80. Practicing Empathy & Grace

Welcome back, Listeners! In today’s episode, Karen and Katie discuss the importance of empathy when approaching/talking to other people, and the fact that you never know what others are going through. As Neil deGrasse Tyson says, “We are, each of us, a little universe.” Karen discusses what her life has been like lately, Katie gets into how empathy has presented itself in her marriage and the pair also talks in depth about the concept of giving ourselves grace when things don’t go to plan. This is an amazing episode that also covers topics like leg warmers, onboarding for Trader Joe’s cashiers and more. You won’t want to miss it.

75. Galentines Day & Heart-Shaped Salami with Ginger Buddha

OhMyGooooddddnnneeeesss, FOLKS! (insert excited screaming here) Today’s show is one of our best ever because we have on the one, the only, the incomparable….GINGER BUDDHA (a.k.a Tori Ulrich) on the show!

Karen, Katie, and Tori get into a lively conversation about female friendship – a convo that reveals itself to be one of our most deep and revealing yet. It is one you will not want to miss, and, as Karen explains, is a “master class in what it is to be a good friend.” The trio also chats about what it is like to have red hair (some shockers there), the untruthful portrayal of female friendships in the media, and how celebrating our female friends is always an excellent idea (on Galentines Day – Feb. 13) and every other day of the year.

We hope you love this one as much as we enjoyed recording it. Huge thanks to Ginger Buddha for chatting with us!

74. Embracing Your Uniqueness

In addition to discussing this soul-nourishing topic, the pair also talk about some Hollywood heartthrobs of the late 90s and question where they are now and how old they might be (spoiler alert: Jude Law is only 49! WTAF.)

Thanks for listening, enjoy!
