Welcome, listeners to a very SPECIAL EPISODE. On today’s show, Karen and Katie welcome back the magnificent Dr. Tania Israel, renowned author of ‘Beyond Your Bubble: How to Connect Across the Political Divide, Skills and Strategies for Conversations That Work.’ Whereas in past episodes with Dr. Israel, the trio has talked about her work and how she does it, in this show, the group actually DOES the work. What ensues is our most vulnerable show yet. All three were surprised at what they said and learned about themselves through the process.
Get ready for a fun episode, Listeners! On today’s show, Karen and Katie go on a series of wild tangents that result in stories about everything from Katie being on a leash as a kid to Karen’s love for rollerskating to the pair’s bewilderment about all things NOUGAT. They also talk about how it can be a good/healthy idea to ‘check ourselves before we wreck ourselves’ on a regular basis.
Good Monday Morning Listeners, and thanks for tuning in. Today’s show is a bit more somber because of last week’s news events. Karen and Katie discuss the horrors of the Texas shooting, and also go into detail on the coping mechanisms they employ when the news is especially awful.

Hellllooooo, Listeners, and welcome to another thrilling installment of the pod! Happy Monday, Listeners! On today’s mini-pod, Karen and Katie are taking a page from the great work of Sting (swoon) and discussing a lyric from his song “Englishman in New York,” where he sings, “Be yourself, no matter what they say.” The pair discuss embracing uniqueness and the beauty that comes along with that mentality.
Happy Monday, Listeners, and welcome to installment #2 of our five-part mini-pod series while Katie is out of town! In this week’s episode, Karen and Katie discuss the concept of knowing when to walk away from something (or “tap out”).
Happy Monday, Listeners! On this week’s pod, Karen and Katie chat about a few of the hormonal changes that happen to us when the weather gets nice again. The pair also discuss how this is their first mini pod in a series of five mini pods while Katie is out of town. They recorded them ALL IN A SINGLE SITTING!
Happy Monday, Listeners! On this week’s show, Karen and Katie chat all about religion. They discuss finding out about their friends’ religions long after they’ve been close to them, about how religion showed up in their lives growing up and much more. The pair also discusses the connections between religion and spirituality.
